Bokaro abduction mystery: Employee of Bokaro Steel Plant allegedly abducted while out for cigarettes; Police launch search operation and review CCTV footage

Bokaro: Jayant Kumar (38), an employee of the Bokaro Steel Plant, was allegedly abducted from outside his residence in Sector 8 late on Wednesday night. Police registered an FIR on Thursday.According to the complaint filed by his wife Amrita, her husband stepped out of the house around 10 pm to purchase cigarettes from a nearby shop. She said that she was observing him from the terrace when she noticed a white car and a few motorcycles parked by the roadside. When Jayant did not return after a considerable time, she went downstairs and found both her husband and the vehicle missing.Bokaro superintendent of police (SP) Harvinder Singh confirmed the development, stating that an FIR was registered.“Teams have begun searching nearby localities and are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the missing man,” said the SP.
