Boxing champion Devin Haney is suing his Ex Leena Sayed again over $350K gift dispute

Boxing star Devin Haney is back in court with a fresh new legal battle against Leena Sayed, his ex-fiancée. The Devin Haney lawsuit that has been reportedly filed in the Los Angeles court centers around the dispute over high-value gift items.

It’s been alleged by Haney that these items were gifted to her in anticipation of marriage, and now that they are separated, they must be returned.

The latest legal action by Devin Haney targets the luxury items that were gifted to Sayed. The reported list includes an Audemars Piguet watch, diamond jewelry and Hermès handbags return. As per Haney’s claims, these gifts are valued at approximately $350,000, and they were conditional.As per the boxer’s argument, they were given to Sayed on the promise of their upcoming wedding. As Sayed has now ended the engagement, Haney is taking help of California law. The statute requires Sayed to return the gifts that were given to her in contemplation of marriage. The boxer has even claimed that he has already suffered $500,000 worth of financial damage.

This is not the first time Haney has filed a lawsuit against his ex.

Just a few weeks before, he took her to court for defamation and extortion. In the filing, it was alleged by him that she threatened him to damage his reputation. He further claimed she even interfered with his rights to see Khrome, their infant daughter.

The previous Leena Sayed lawsuit received a direct response with a temporary restraining order. Sayed ensured to obtain this order against the boxer, with some past domestic abuse domestic abuse allegations.

The legal team of Haney has consistently denied all allegations, calling them nothing but fabricated.As of now, Sayed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has responded to the suits and maintains her actions are all about securing a lawful child support. It is not extortion. He even suggests that the legal strategy of Haney is an attempt to retaliate against the restraining order. He further added, “he needs to get real.”The ex-couple is scheduled for a hearing in the family court soon.
