A British fighter jet made an emergency landing at the international airport in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday night, airport sources said.
The fighter jet, F-35B from the Royal Navy’s aircraft carrier, which is around 100 nautical miles from the shore, could not return to the warship due to low fuel. The landing was safe and no issue has been reported. The jet will be leaving the airport on Sunday after refuelling, following a nod from the Defence Ministry, sources informed.
