HYDERABAD
Two brothers were fatally struck by a train near Yakutpura Railway Station on Monday while crossing the tracks to reach their home. The victims have been identified as Mohd Shab Uddin, 25, and Mohd Faizan, 20, residents of Naga Bowli, Yakutpura in the Charminar area, said an officer from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Kacheguda.
“The incident took place during the early hours on Monday when the duo was attempting to cross the tracks, a routine shortcut they reportedly took due to their house’s proximity to the station. An unidentified train hit them, killing both on the spot,” said the officer.
Shab Uddin, who was married, worked at an electrical shop, while his younger brother Faizan was employed as a welder. The authorities have urged the public to avoid crossing tracks illegally, citing the risk to life and the tragic consequences that continue to result from such shortcuts.
