HYDERABAD
Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy rubbished rumours allegedly spread by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its media outlets that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is buying a special aircraft to travel to New Delhi.
In a statement on Thursday, Mr. Reddy accused BRS of spreading false news because it could not digest the people-friendly rule under Mr. Revanth Reddy. After failing to impress people with their earlier allegations, the BRS has taken a new route. But, the Chief Minister is aware of the State’s finances and, unlike BRS leaders when they were in power, who hired private aircraft for regular travels Mr. Revanth Reddy travels in economy class for his official visits to New Delhi, he said.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, TPCC Media Cell chairman Sama Ram Mohan Reddy said that the BRS has a history of wasting public money, flying on special flights, and making grand promises, but the current government is committed to transparency and accountability.
“The truth is that Mr. Revanth Reddy usually travels in economy class on Indigo flights, just like an average person,” he said, and criticised the BRS party for its lavish spending and spreading of lies to discredit the current government.
