Mahesh Babu's 2012 hit 'Businessman' is set for a special re-release, celebrating his 46 years in cinema. Meanwhile, the superstar is filming SS Rajamouli's 'SSMB29', where Prithviraj Sukumaran will portray the antagonist 'Kumbha'. A grand digital event for 'SSMB29' is scheduled for November 15th.

Mahesh Babu is currently working on his upcoming grand film with SS Rajamouli, which is in production. The film has time to hit the big screens and fortunately for his fans, the superstar's 2012 blockbuster 'Businessman' is all set for a grand re-release this month.

What makes the re-release special?

The actor began his journey as a child artist in 'Needa' back in November 1979, completing 46 years in the film industry. As per a CineExpress report, to mark this occasion, the makers have decided to bring the cult action drama back to the big screens.Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, 'Businessman' follows the story of a mysterious man who arrives in Mumbai with the ambition to rule the city's underworld. The plot was reportedly based on a concept by filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who was credited in the film’s titles for his contribution.The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, and Nassar in key supporting roles. Released on the festive occasion of Sankranthi, 'Businessman' became one of the highest earners of its time.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for SS Rajamouli's globe-trotting action adventure 'SSMB29' and on the other hand director Puri Jagannadh is working on his next pan-India project starring Vijay Sethupathi, Tabu, and Samyuktha.

Prithiviraj Sukumaran's look in 'SSMB29'

Recently, the makers of 'SSMB29' unveiled the first look of Prithiviraj Sukumaran from the film, who plays the key antagonist as "Kumbha". Prithviraj's character is depicted as a sinister and powerful figure, seated in a futuristic metallic wheelchair equipped with multiple robotic arms.The film also stars Priyanka Chopra playing the female lead and marking her much-awaited return to Indian cinema.The makers have also announced a grand digital event at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The event will be held on November 15th and will be digitally streamed nationwide.
