Carrying a power bank on a flight? Expect some curbs even on cabin baggage soon

On October 19, panic gripped an IndiGo flight when a passenger’s power bank caught fire on a Dimapur (Nagaland)-bound flight while the aircraft was taxiing at the Delhi airport.
The airline said the crew quickly extinguished the flames and managed the situation by “diligently following standard operating procedures”.

No injuries were reported, and the aircraft, an Airbus A320neo, resumed operations after checks.
