Casteist remark, threat to family: Air India Express pilot Captain Virender Sejwal accused of assaulting flier Ankit Dewan at Delhi airport responds

The passenger, identified as Ankit Dewan, said the incident occurred when he was travelling with his family.

A day after Ankit Dewan, a SpiceJet passenger, accused him of physically assaulting him during a dispute at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Terminal 1, Air India Express pilot Captain Virender Sejwal responded by claiming that the former had made casteist remarks to him and also issued "unfathomable threats" to female members of his family including a child.

Captain Sejwal was taken off duty by the concerned airline after it acknowledged the allegations made by Ankit Dewan during the incident which reportedly took place on December 19.
