Continuing investigations into the leaked prison videos that showed alleged preferential treatment to some inmates, officials of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) questioned Dhanveer Gowda, a close aide of arrested Kannada actor Darshan, on Monday.
The questioning was carried out after the Parappana Agrahara police, based on a complaint filed by the prison authorities, registered an FIR to probe alleged irregularities and possible leaks of videos from inside the jail.
As part of the investigation, the police sought technical assistance from the CCB, including retrieving data from mobile phones. Gowda was questioned to verify whether he was responsible for leaking the videos from the prison.
However, sources said that so far, investigators have not found any substantial evidence linking him to the leak.
