Charred body found in Kalaburagi district

The District Police recovered a charred body of an unidentified woman suspected to be aged around 40 from an isolated place on the outskirts of Ladlapur village in Chittapur taluk of Kalaburagi district on Monday.

The body was traced from the roadside gorge on the Ladlapur Bypass connecting National Highway 150. Going by preliminary findings, the police suspected that the victim was sexually assaulted and set on fire by the accused.

Superintendent of Police Adduru Srinivasulu, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Gowda Patil visited the spot. A case has been registered at Wadi Police Station.
