Chhath Puja is one of the most sacred festival which is celebrated in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. On this auspicious, devotees worship Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya.

After the sun sets, the fast is symbolically broken by cooking and eating a special meal, typically a sweet dish like kheer (rice pudding), which was formerly offered to the Sun God as Prasad.
Day 3October 27, 2025Sandhya ArghyaSunset: 5:40 PMThis is the most revered and intense day. Devotees must keep a strict water-free fast throughout the entire day on this day. In the evening, the entire family assembles near a riverbank or other body of water to undertake the main ceremony, which is making the evening Arghya (offering) to the setting Sun.
Day 4October 28, 2025Usha ArghyaSunrise: 06:30 AMUsha Arghya and Parana bring the Chhath Puja to a close. Before sunrise devotees return to the body of water to offer the morning arghya to the rising Sun. Following this last sacrifice, the Vrat is successfully concluded by breaking the approximately 36-hour fast with Prasad and water, a custom known as Parana.
