Chhath Puja, a significant Hindu festival honoring the Sun God, is being celebrated with immense devotion. Celebrities like Manisha Rani, Neha Marda, Akshara Singh, and Rati Pandey are actively participating, sharing their festive moments and paying homage to their cultural roots. Also known as Maha Parv, Surya Shashti, Chhath, Chhathi, Chhath Parv, Dala Puja, and Dala Chhath, this sacred celebration holds great cultural and spiritual importance across several Indian states. This year, the festival is being celebrated from October 25 to 28, with millions of devotees offering prayers and performing rituals with deep devotion.The spirit of Chhath Puja is not limited to the common people alone.
Many television and social media personalities also mark the occasion with enthusiasm, paying tribute to their roots. Among them are Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame Manisha Rani, Balika Vadhu actress Neha Marda, Bhojpuri star Akshara Singh, and Hitler Didi fame Rati Pandey.Manisha Rani, who gained immense popularity after appearing on Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, recently shared a stunning set of photos on Instagram from her Chhath Puja celebrations.
In the pictures, Manisha can be seen dressed like a newlywed, radiating elegance and devotion. Her traditional look complete with a Banarasi sari, maang tikka, earrings, matching bangles, and a bright streak of vermilion (sindoor) from her nose to her forehead has once again captured the attention of fans.She captioned her post, “This is not a festival, it’s an emotion. Meanwhile, actress Neha Marda, best known for her role as Gehna in Balika Vadhu, is celebrating her third Chhath Puja this year after marriage.
The actress shared heartwarming photos from the celebration, performing the rituals with her husband and family. Dressed in a lovely pink sari, Neha looked graceful and radiant, with vermilion adorning her nose a symbolic gesture of devotion and marital bliss. Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh also celebrated the festival with great devotion.
On the second day of Chhath Puja, she performed the Kharna ritual. She first took a holy dip with her family, worshipped the Sun God, and later prepared puri on the stove while dressed in traditional attire. She captioned her post, “The austerity of fasting, the sweetness of jaggery and rice, this is Kharna.” Her photos went viral in no time, with fans praising her simplicity and faith.
Adding to the festive spirit, actress Rati Pandey also celebrated the festival in her own way.
