Minister for MSME and NRI Affairs Kondapalli Srinivas said on Sunday that the CII Global Summit would greatly benefit the North Andhra districts, as several entrepreneurs had come forward to invest in the region along with other parts of the State.
Addressing a press conference, he said the successful conduct of the CII Summit in Visakhapatnam had enhanced Andhra Pradesh’s brand image and rekindled hopes among people for rapid development in their districts.
He announced that a food processing unit at Rajam and a smart smelter steel plant in Gurla mandal would generate employment opportunities for local youth. Vizianagaram MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu added that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of balanced regional development would soon become a reality with investment proposals worth ₹13 lakh crore finalised at the summit.
