Citizens of Malleswaram take up brooms to keep their ward and streets clean

With the attitude that cleaning the streets and roads filled with garbage is not just the job of the civic workers (pourakarmikas), the citizens of Malleshwaram Ward-53 set an example for others by taking up brooms and cleaning their neighbourhoods and streets on Friday morning, with the motto “Our Ward-Our Pride”.

The roads and streets of Bengaluru were covered with garbage and leaves due to the recent heavy rains and winds. Due to the overflowing of manholes and drains, mud and garbage covered the roads.
