City Football Group, the entity that owns Premier League giants Manchester City in addition to other clubs around the world, are set to pull of their ownership of Indian Super League club Mumbai City FC.

City groups’ withdrawal from the ownership of the Islander would leave the club in full ownership of actor Ranbir Kapoor and Bimal Parekh.

Indian football is in doldrums amid an extended delay in the beginning of the top-tier football league due to the conclusion of FSDL’s contract with the league and AIFF and heavy financial losses, the CFG opt to pull out of the club’s ownership structure.
