Former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson isn’t holding back. In a fiery IG story followed by viral tweets, he slammed the Philadelphia Eagles for how they treated him during his stint with the team.

From calling himself a "test dummy" to claiming the team tried to use him as a scapegoat, CJ is making it loud and clear: he believes it was never about the scheme, it was about him. And he’s not letting the “salary cap excuse” slide.

CJ Gardner-Johnson says he was the Eagles’ defensive experiment

CJ claims he was basically a guinea pig for the Eagles’ system, used to prove if their defensive “scheme” worked. But instead of crediting his skill, he feels they’re now acting like it was all about the system, not him.He posted:“I was a test dummy for them... did my skill set make it work”It’s clear he feels underappreciated and dismissed, despite being a key playmaker when healthy. He also takes shots at the organization’s treatment of younger players. In a more direct warning, Gardner-Johnson wrote:“Just don’t do them young guys like y’all did me. You can’t program a dog”That line sparked plenty of fan debate. Was he calling out the Eagles’ coaching staff? Front office? The vibe was clear, CJ’s frustrated, and he's warning others to watch out.

This isn’t the first time a player has left Philly upset

His comments sparked reactions online, with many pointing out how several former Eagles have left with similar bitterness. One fan tweeted:“It’s so rare to see a team like the eagles win a SB and have this many disgruntled players, fans, former players, etc. don’t think I’ve ever seen it lol, I’d be so damn happy just to win one.”

This adds fuel to the theory that Philly’s locker room culture, especially post-2022 might not be as solid as it seems. While CJ’s rant drew support from some, others were quick to call him out. On X, fans pointed out that this isn’t the first time he’s taken public shots after leaving a team. From the Saints to the Lions and now the Eagles, fans are saying Gardner-Johnson has a pattern of burning bridges once he's out.“He does this every time he switches teams 😭,” one user wrote. Another added, “This guy just causes problems..”So while CJ wants his side of the story heard, fans are definitely split, some seeing the truth, others seeing drama. Also read - Steelers QB Mason Rudolph says he’s not sorry for backing Trump — here’s how the Steelers responded
