K-pop girl group CLC, known for their hits such as ’I Like It’ and ‘Black Dress’, are officially on their way to make a comeback. One of the members of the group, Seung Yeon, recently shared the happy news by confirming that the group has been preparing for a new project, leaving fans of the group elated.
CLC comeback confirmed
Seung Yeon was recently on a solo fan meeting tour spanning across 8 different countries. During her pit stop in Paris, the idol sat down for an interview with KOREO, where she ended up confirming the news. She shared that the group has come together and has already started working on a new project, even though the specifics are still being planned and are unknown to everyone. "Yes, that's right. We don't have a specific plan yet, but we're always in touch among ourselves, and we're working to create something soon, probably.
I can't confirm it 100% for now, but please know we're doing our best,” she said.
Fan reactions
As soon as the video was uploaded online, fans of the girl group went into a frenzy of excitement. While the idol may not have confirmed exactly what will happen, her statement still managed to fill fans with a ray of hope. One person commented, “She was so cute, her English and also wow it's amazing to have a queen in your channel and CLC COMEBACK!!!!”, while another shared, “So we're going to have a CLC comeback, can't wait!!”.
Earlier in June, fellow member Sorn also confirmed that something new, specifically a “new song,” may be on the way sometime this year, leaving fans hopeful.
About CLC
The group debuted in 2015 with their debut EP ‘First Love’, with 5 members: Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn, and Yeeun. Elkie and Eunbin joined the ensemble a year later, along with the release of their third EP, ‘Refresh’. The group’s management agency in 2020 put a stop to the group’s activities to ensure that all of the members have time to focus on solo projects as well. By 2022, it was confirmed that the group had no official schedule left and that everything had been concluded. While fans thought that this meant that the group had disbanded, the members have often shared that while all 7 of them are focused on their solo careers, the group is still intact.
