Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has advised BRS member Gangula Kamalakar against believing his party leadership headed by BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K.T. Rama Rao.
“You are my old friend. I will take care of you in good and bad. Don’t trust them (BRS leadership),” the Chief Minister said in a lighter vein comment.
Intervening in the debate during the passage of Bills lifting 50% cap on reservations in elections to local bodies, the Chief Minister said he was aware of the nature of BRS leaders. He said Kalvakuntla, the surname of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, in fact meant ‘Kalvakunda’ (not meeting).
“He will not like meeting of other castes with Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes with Scheduled Tribes and Hindus with Minorities, hence the Kalvakunda,” he said requesting BRS members to cooperate in the passage of the Bills enhancing reservations to Backward Classes.
