Stating that the YSR Congress Party will release a QR Code-based website in the name of ‘Recalling of CBN Manifesto’, from where people could easily access all the assurances given by the NDA alliance during the general elections 2024, the party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has failed in delivering any of the ‘Super Six’ assurances.

Alleging that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was ‘’scared of his failure in governance and his impatience manifested in politics of diversion and foisting of false cases’‘ against political opponents, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, at a press conference at his residence on Thursday, said the overwhelming response to his recent tours was a testimony to the huge anti-incumbency that rose within one year.

He alleged that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu cheated people by not implementing Stri Nidhi, free bus travel, Deepam and other schemes even one year after assuming office and Talliki Vandanam was only partially implemented.

Mr. Naidu has been behaving like a ‘‘dictator by trying to suppress any dissent and gag the voices of those who question misuse of police’‘. “The modus operandi is to catch the small fry, use coercion to seek confession and file cases against popular YSRCP leaders,’‘ he alleged, adding the people of Andhra Pradesh have been observing this.

‘Anti-incumbency’

Stating that the ‘Betrayal Day’ organised recently by the YSRCP got an overwhelming response, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that it reflected the growing anti-incumbency.

“My visit to Sattenapalli on Wednesday in a curfew-like situation shows the measure of repressive methods being adopted by Mr. Chandrababu Naidu government. What is wrong if the Opposition leader visits to console a family and people are coming in large numbers as they are vexed with the government and are looking towards YSRCP? Even during the Podili visit the government tried to scuttle the event by imposing huge restrictions when crowds came to see me. A handful of TDP workers tried to disrupt the meeting while farmers who came in large numbers had maintained restraint. Yet, cases were filed against farmers and not those who tried to disrupt the rally,” Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

‘False cases’

The YSRCP leaders and those close to him were being jailed based on fabricated cases and confession statements of a few ‘insignificant’ people. The latest liquor-related case filed against YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy was also a similar one, he said.

“Bhaskar Reddy’s gunman has filed a case with documentary and visual evidence of his torture and moved the court. This is how Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy, Raj Kasireddy, Nandigama Suresh and others were held and they are trying to implicate Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and P.V. Mithun Reddy,” he added.

Alleging that the TDP workers and leaders attacked Sakshi properties across the State, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked what action was taken by the Chief Minister.
