The Indian Coast Guard evacuated a Ukrainian national who had been suffering from acute periumbilical pain for two days from the Malta-flagged vessel MT Minerva Vera.
The vessel was 100 nautical miles off Kochi and en route to Fujairah when its crew member, Milishchuk Roman, required medical evacuation. His condition was assessed by a medical assistant onboard the Indian Coast Guard ship, who administered first aid and an injection before the evacuation.
On arrival at Kochi port on Sunday (November 2, 2025), he was shifted to a private hospital for further medical treatment.
