Coimbatore: District collector cum district election officer Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar on Sunday inspected the distribution of enumeration forms to voters to implement the special intensive revision (SIR) in various assembly constituencies in Coimbatore on Sunday.SIR work commenced across Tamil Nadu on Nov 4, with more than 3,000 booth level officers working in the 10 assembly constituencies in the district. They have distributed around 10 lakh enumeration forms to the voters in the past six days.

The district collector visited Selvapuram and Kumarapalayam in Thondamuthur assembly constituency, Race Course and Raheja Enclave in Coimbatore South assembly constituency, Pappanaickenpalayam in Singanallur constituency, and Ganapathy and Avarampalayam in Coimbatore North constituency and inspected the distribution of enumeration forms to the voters on the day. He interacted with the voters and asked them to fill in the enumeration forms at the earliest and submit them to the booth level officers. He also directed the booth level officers to complete the distribution of enumeration forms soon. College students, meanwhile, conducted a cultural programme to create awareness about SIR at Race Course. The district collector also flagged off a rally conducted by the college students to create awareness on SIR.
