Coimbatore district collectorate receives hoax bomb threat for 16th time

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district collectorate received a bomb threat email on Monday morning for the 16th time in recent months.The district collectorate received the email on Monday morning, in which the sender mentioned, "5 RDX IEDs placed on Coimbatore collectorate premises.

Evacuate innocent persons.

" The district administration alerted the city police. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and the K9 dog squad reached the spot, conducted an intensive search of the collectorate premises, found nothing suspicious and declared it a fake bomb threat.
