Coimbatore sanitation worker drowns in water tank

COIMBATORE: A female sanitation worker of the Coimbatore corporation was found dead in a water tank at the corporation sanitation office in Rathinapuri.The deceased has been identified as Jyothimani, 43, wife of Nataraj from Narayanasamy Layout in CMC Colony near Sanganur. On Tuesday, she went to a public toilet located inside the sanitation office complex in Rathinapuri. However, Jyothimani did not return home. Following this, her family and relatives searched for her and found her body in a water tank inside the sanitation office complex.On being informed, the Rathinapuri police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for postmortem. They registered a case and began investigations.
