Collector reviews preparedness for cyclone Montha in Bapatla District

The Bapatla District administration has stepped up preparedness measures in anticipation of the impact of Cyclone Montha, expected to affect the region from October 27.

District Collector Dr. V. Vinod Kumar held a comprehensive review meeting on Sunday (October 26, 2025) morning through a video conference from the District Collectorate Command Control Room. The session, held in the new video conference hall, brought together district officers, municipal commissioners, MPDOs, tahsildars, and officials from various departments at both district and mandal levels to assess readiness and coordinate response efforts.

The Collector directed officials to remain on high alert and ensure all precautionary measures are in place to minimise potential damage and safeguard public safety. RDO Gangadhar Goud also participated in the meeting, along with department heads across the district who joined the conference virtually.
