The daughter that he had chosen to adopt is now getting ready to move out after the news that he had an affair with a woman while still legally married.The statement read, "It appears that Kim Byung Man had two children with another woman before his marriage to my mother ended. If they are his biological children, they could have legal implications regarding inheritance, so the relationship needs to be verified”.

The comedian registered his marriage in the Seoul Family Court in 2010. After this, he proceeded to adopt his daughter from another family, which he had been keeping a secret for the past few years.After this, however, the two did not stay together for long. His now ex-wife had filed for divorce in 2019, which was then finalised in 2023. As of now, he has also filed for termination of the adoption of his daughter. He filed for the termination 3 times, out of which 2 were dismissed. The results of the third trial have not yet been officially announced.
