Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao has cautioned the people about the ruling Congress which is ‘dividing people in terms of castes and communities and has conveniently buried the guarantees given before the elections to various sections of the society’.
“Not only farmers but every section of the society, including women, youth, students, employees and pensioners, are suffering under the Congress rule. If it was a corrupt BRS rule earlier, we have a government now which is anti-people,” he charged on Tuesday.
Addressing a district level party workers meeting at Peddapalli during his ongoing tour, Mr. Rao said the time has come for people to choose a nationalist party like the BJP which has been expanding steadily in the State. He warned the people about the ‘deceitful’ tactics of Congress which is trying to cheat Backward Class communities again with 42% reservations while including 10% quota for Muslims in it.
“This cannot be accepted by our party which has always opposed religion-based reservations. We are against the BC quota getting reduced to 32% reservations,” he said. The Chief Minister is well aware of the facts that his government is unable to implement 42% reservations to BCs and blaming the Centre for his failure and inefficiency.
The BJP chief has once again charged the Revanth Reddy government of not properly monitoring the sale of fertilizers and allowing black marketing leading to shortfall in availability despite the Central government providing more than sufficient quantity for the current agriculture season of about 6.14 lakh metric tonnes when the demand is 6.12 lakh metric tonnes.
“It is total failure of the State government as no other State has been experiencing any such shortfall. The agriculture department’s lackadaisical attitude in controlling the black marketers has led to the situation where the blame is being sought to be shifted onto the Centre for the shortage though the latter has been providing subsidy worth thousands of crores. The government is playing with the lives of farmers,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, party vice president G. Manohar Reddy has announced that a national flag hoisting in every house programme will be held from August 9 to August 16 where the party cadre will take out rallies hailing the role of the armed forces in ‘Operation Sindoor’, pay homage to the martyrs, felicitate veteran soldiers, hold photo exhibitions and will distribute the tricolour to households.
