Ranchi: Congress party’s national media talent hunt programme for selection of Congress spokespersons is being conducted across the country and the party will soon begin the process in Jharkhand as well, state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh said on Sunday.Kamlesh, while addressing a press conference, said that the party will also be appointing spokespersons at state and regional levels in Jharkhand. The entire state has been divided into seven zones for this purpose - first zone Palamu, second Kolhan, third zone includes Deoghar Dumka Jamtara, fourth zone includes Sahebganj Godda Pakur, fifth zone includes Ramgarh Chatra Koderma Hazaribag, sixth zone includes Bokaro Dhanbad Giridih and seventh zone will include districts of South Chotanagpur. In this process, those who have loyalty towards Congress values, ideological commitment, political awareness, clear thinking, ability to give quick responses, pure language and communication skills, adequate knowledge of history, comfortable media presence, ability to present their views with facts through media will be selected at regional and state levels.Atul Lodhe Patil, AICC spokesperson appointed as in-charge for Odisha Bihar Jharkhand Bengal for the talent hunt, said that this programme is to search for talent who understands our country's Constitution, Preamble, culture and politics.
For quite some time, there are many people who want to share their thoughts with the country and this platform is being provided to them. This has been created as a medium to bring talented people directly into the organisation through direct dialogue rather than through any leader, Patil said.He alleged that the central govt and BJP try to control media and especially social media by using government machinery. The alliance is a unity of parties trying to save democracy in today's time.On the other hand BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo hit back at Congress state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh and AICC national spokesperson Atul Londhe Patil, saying that Congress has been reduced to single-digit seats in Bihar. Pratul said that this “Talent Hunt” is nothing but another political show-off.“Now, to do damage control, they have started another drama with new posters and a new spokesperson panel. Congress is launching fancy programs and posters only to hide its collapsing organization in Jharkhand,” Deo said, The public clearly knows that a party whose top leadership itself has zero credibility cannot fix anything by merely changing spokespersons, he said.
