Iran criticizes the UN for silence on assassinations of its officials. Ambassador Iravani claims Israel's boldness and aggression from Qatar, Kuwait, and UAE violate all laws.

Amid the ongoing war in West Asia, Iran has strongly criticised the United Nations for maintaining silence over the assassination of its top officials.
In a letter to the Security Council, Tehran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir-Saeid Iravani, said that the council’s inaction had made Israel more bold in targeting officials, reported the Mehr news agency.
Iravani said that, if left unchecked, the assassinations could become normalised and spread to other countries as well.
The Iranian diplomat said, since the start of the illegal military aggression against Iran on February 28, the territory of Qatar and some other neighbouring countries has been used by the aggressors to carry out attacks against Iran.
Referring to the act as illegal, the Iranian official said that “providing the territory to the aggressors is an internationally wrongful act." He said that the same had been previously communicated to the Qatari authorities and had also been published as an official document of the UN Security Council.
He said Kuwait and the UAE are helping the aggressors, and they have targeted thousands of civilians in Iran, adding that these actions are in a gross violation of the principles of mutual respect and good neighbourliness.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, within the framework of exercising its inherent right of self-defence, believes that any military bases and installations of the aggressors that are used to launch or support armed attacks against its territory can be considered a legitimate military target and reserves its right to take necessary and proportionate measures to prevent further civilian casualties and damage," Iravani said.
He further went on to say that the principle of good neighbourliness was not followed by Qatar, the UAE and Kuwait, and these countries allowed the US to use their territories to launch and continue armed attacks on Tehran.
