Covid-19 cases are on the rise again across the country, with the total toll crossing the 3,300 mark on Sunday. Fresh infections have been reported in the national capital and surrounding regions. Gurugram confirmed four new cases, pushing Haryana’s total active case count to 23.
Health officials said the infected individuals are showing only mild symptoms and are currently in isolation as a precautionary measure.
A 60-year-old woman who was suffering from acute intestinal obstruction and had tested positive for Covid-19 died in Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday assured people that there was no need to panic.

– Odisha on Sunday reported two new cases, taking the total toll in the state to seven. Health Secretary Aswathy S advised all to remain vigilant in the wake of the changing weather.
– The Karnataka Health Department issued an advisory asking government and private schools to take precautions in the interest of school children’s health. The guidelines asked parents not to send their children to school if they develop fever, cough, cold, and another symptom.
– Total Covid-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh reached three, with the state reporting one new case on Saturday.
– Maharashtra on Saturday reported 68 COVID-19 cases, taking the tally since the start of this year to 749, a health department official said. Of the new cases, 30 were detected in Mumbai and 15 in Pune Municipal Corporation limits. Cases were also detected in Kalyan-Dombivali and Raigad.
– 82 new Covid-19 cases were reported in West Bengal, taking the total number of active cases in the current wave to 287 in the state, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.
– Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathi on Sunday urged people to remain vigilant as Covid-19 cases are rising across the country once again. The minister said that senior citizens and pregnant women should avoid stepping out unnecessarily, and international passengers must undergo mandatory Covid-19 testing upon arrival in the state.
