Claiming that the Kerala model of development as touted by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Congress has not happened in the State, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said that only a model that protects the financial interests and corrupt practices of both parties is in place.

He was speaking at the environment day celebrations at Vellayani organised to mark the World Environment Day on Thursday.

Mr.Chandrasekhar alleged that agriculture or farmers have never been the priority of both the parties and instead they have focussed their energies on real estate and contracts. In the upcoming local body elections and assembly elections, the BJP will present a sustainable and comprehensive development concept for the State, he said.
