CRPF Delhi Group Centre marks 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram

The Delhi Group Centre of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday (November 7, 2025) celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram.

“The event was organised with the objective of strengthening the spirit of national pride and unity. The programme was presided over by Vinay Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre, CRPF, New Delhi. On this occasion, Commandant Vijay Kumar Verma, other senior officers, subordinate officers, personnel, and teachers along with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF Camp, Jharoda Kalan, were present,” said a release.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the National Anthem and a salute before the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed at the Group Centre. The attendees, including officers, personnel, teachers, and students, were briefed on its cultural and historical value.

In his address, Mr. Singh said Vande Mataram inspires devotion, sacrifice, and unity among all Indians. He highlighted the importance of instilling a strong sense of patriotism and commitment to the nation among students.
