Naidu lays stone for biogas plants

VIZIANAGARAM:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that North Andhra districts including Vizianagaram would witness rapid industrial growth with the initiatives taken up by the government.

He virtually laid the foundation stone for the construction of biogas plants to be set up by the PVS Rammohann Industries Private Limited in Arasada of Vangara mandal in Vizianagaram district and Santhavuriti village of G. Sigadam in Srikakulam district on Tuesday.

Speaking from Kanigiri in Prakasam district, the Chief Minister congratulated group chairman P.V.S Rammohan for choosing remote areas for setting up industries at an estimated cost of ₹102 crore. Mr. Rammohan said that agriculture waste would be utilised to power the biogas plants which would initially have a capacity of 50 tonnes per day.

Minister for Tribal Welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Rajam MLA Kondru Murali Mohan, Vizianagaram legislator Aditi Vijayalakshmi and Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy interacted with the Chief Minister during virtual foundation ceremony of the plant.

Mr. Sandhya Rani and Mr. Murali Mohan said that Rajam was historically an industrial town of the State and expressed hope that it would regain its past glory with the new industries planned in the constituency.

Mr. Ramsundar Reddy urged industrialists to consider choosing Vizianagaram district for new investments and assured swift processing of applications under the single window policy
