Cyclone Montha Landfall News Live Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Cyclone Montha will intensify into a severe cyclonic storm and make landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam, near Kakinada, by Tuesday evening or night. The weather department stated that Andhra Pradesh will witness extremely heavy rainfall and strong winds due to the cyclone, with an orange alert issued for Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts, while the remaining northeastern districts are under yellow alert.

In Odisha, authorities have sheltered 30 Andhra fishing boats at Gopalpur Port as a precaution. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to shift residents from vulnerable coastal areas to rehabilitation centres and ensure the supply of clean water and food. District collectors have been instructed to oversee relief operations, monitor irrigation channels and tank breaches, and appoint special officers to manage the cyclone response effectively.
