On Monday, November 10, 2025, police in Starkville, Mississippi, arrested 20-year-old Patrick McClintock after a shocking video of him heckling Dave Portnoy went viral online.

In the clip, the man could be heard yelling “F*** the Jews” and throwing coins toward Portnoy outside a local pizza shop. The Barstool Sports founder was in town filming one of his “One Bite” pizza review videos when the disturbing incident happened, drawing widespread outrage across social media platforms within hours of posting.According to Brandon Lovelady, the Public Information Officer for the Starkville Police Department, McClintock has been charged with disturbing the peace.

The department said they were made aware of the viral video on Friday, November 8, and quickly issued a warrant before arresting him on Monday. McClintock was processed, photographed for a mugshot, and later released after posting bail.

Just a day before the Mississippi State vs. the University of Georgia football game, where Dave Portnoy and his Barstool Sports crew were filming local food restaurants, the argument took place.

During the shooting, McClintock approached and started screaming anti-Semitic slurs, therefore interrupting the recording. Portnoy seems startled in the viral video, but he remains composed as the man leaves; spectators look quite uneasy. Speaking to TMZ, Officer Lovelady said, “Every person has the right to feel safe and respected in our community.

Offensive words alone are protected, but when behavior risks violence, we act to maintain public safety.”

He added that the case could face enhanced penalties if it’s found to be bias-motivated under Mississippi law.After the arrest, Dave Portnoy reacted online, saying such hateful acts are not new to him. Just a day earlier, on CBS Sunday Morning, he said, “I experience antisemitism daily.
