The police in Cyberabad in Telangana’s Rangareddy district Wednesday found a decomposed body of an unidentified woman stuffed in a suitcase in Bachupally.

According to the police, the woman, estimated to be aged between 25 and 35, was found near the wall of Reddy’s Lab in Vijayadurga Owners Association Colony.

The police said they received information Wednesday afternoon about a foul-smelling maroon suitcase in the construction area. When they inspected the suitcase, the Bachupally police found the body of a woman dressed in a maroon suit. The police believe the murder might have occurred 10 to 12 days ago.

“The woman’s identity has not been established yet. It appears someone killed her somewhere else and dumped the body here,” a police officer said.

The police said the body has been sent for a postmortem examination, and a case of suspicious death under Section 194 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been registered. The police are examining CCTV cameras for possible visuals of anyone dropping off the suitcase.
