Filmmaker Arjunn Dutta has brought pride to Bengali cinema by winning the National Award for Best Bengali Feature Film for his introspective film Deep Fridge at the 71st National Film Awards.
The film stars Abir Chatterjee, Tnusree Chakraborty, Anuradha Mukherjee among others.The film which is penned by the director stands out as an exploration of emotional repression, domestic silence, and the hidden fragility of human relationships. Talking about the story line of the film, Arjunn said, “Divorces can be tricky and tough. In this film both Swarnava and Mili are victims of this vicious, prejudiced idea of a perfectly happy marriage. Will they be able to seek closure post their divorce and see things with more clarity in an effort to build a guilt free future for both of them separately which is fair to their only child Tatai is this film all about.
