Delhi: 1 kg gold kalash stolen from Jain fest at Red Fort; FIR filed

NEW DELHI: A gold worship kalash weighing 1 kg was stolen during a Jain Samaj religious festival being held at 15 August Park near Red Fort, police said on Wednesday. According to officials, a PCR call was received at Kotwali police station on September 3 regarding the theft of gold items used in the ongoing worship. On reaching the spot, police found that the gold kalash placed on the stage had gone missing. Based on the complaint, a case (FIR No. 80082511/2025) under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Kotwali police station. Investigation into the theft is underway, police added.
