Investigators also found that a Faridabad-based car dealer was involved in one of the sales, raising concerns about the legality of the transactions.

The vehicle was first spotted around 1 pm on Tuesday.
A Hyundai i20 that changed hands four times without any official transfer of ownership has triggered a major police investigation after it was seen moving suspiciously across several high-footfall areas in North Delhi.
The Kotwali Police have registered a case under multiple stringent sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosive Substances Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to police sources, the car was originally purchased by Salman on March 18, 2014. Despite being sold successively to Devendra, Sonu, and later Tariq, none of the ownership transfers were formally updated in government records.
Investigators also found that a Faridabad-based car dealer was involved in one of the sales, raising concerns about the legality of the transactions.
The vehicle was first spotted around 1 pm on Tuesday and was later captured on CCTV cameras at several key locations in North Delhi, including Kashmiri Gate, Daryaganj, Sunehri Masjid, and the Red Fort. Police units were alerted after the car’s movement pattern raised suspicion, especially in and around sensitive areas.
Following the recovery of surveillance footage and preliminary inquiry, Kotwali Police registered a case under Sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA, Sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Sections 103(1), 109(1), and 61(2) of the BNS. These sections relate to terrorist acts, conspiracy, handling of explosive substances, and endangerment of public safety.
