Day 3 of the Delhi International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament 2025 at Tivoli Gardens, Chattarpur, showcased riveting matches during Round 4, featuring remarkable performances from both domestic and international players.GM Narayanan S L, India's highest-ranked participant, secured a victory against Vietnam's GM Nguyen Duc Hoa. Fellow Indian GMs Diptayan Ghosh, Deepan Chakkravarthy, and Abhijeet Gupta also recorded decisive wins. International participants GM Manuel Petrosyan, GM Mihail Nikitenko, GM Mamikon Gharibyan, GM Boris Savchenko, and GM Luka Paichadze maintained their successful campaigns with assured victories.Several significant draws occurred in competitive matches, notably between GM Aleksej Aleksandrov and GM Karthik Venkataraman, alongside IM Aronyak Ghosh versus GM Mikulas Manik, as competitors strived to maintain their positions.Indian representatives IM Dinesh Sharma and IM Harsh Suresh secured crucial wins to remain amongst the frontrunners, while GM Aditya S Samant sustained his steady performance with another victory.

Bivor Adak demonstrated impressive skill by achieving a draw against GM Pantsulaia Levan.The 21st edition of this prestigious tournament continues to be Asia's largest classical-format open chess competition, featuring over 2,500 participants from more than 20 nations, including 24 Grandmasters. With a prize fund of Rs 1.21 crore, the tournament, organised under the All India Chess Federation, represents a significant event in India's chess calendar.
