The Delhi Police Special Cell has busted an ISIS-inspired terror module and arrested two operatives who were allegedly planning a suicide attack in the national capital.

The arrests were made following coordinated raids in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. One of the suspects was arrested from South Delhi, while the second was arrested in Madhya Pradesh.

Preliminary investigations reveal that they were in advanced stages of preparing for an improvised explosive device (IED) blast. The duo had been undergoing training for a suicide mission and were allegedly in contact with handlers linked to the banned terrorist organization ISIS.

Multiple intelligence and security agencies are now jointly interrogating the suspects to trace other members of the module and uncover the full extent of the network’s operations.
