Delhi Traffic Police partnered with Google Maps and Mappls to guide visitors attending the Republic Day celebrations to designated parking locations.Sources said commuters who enter their parking label number along with “Republic Day” on Google Maps or Mappls will receive real-time navigation guidance, including recommended routes to Kartavya Path and the exact location of their allotted parking areas, DCP (Traffic) Rajeev Kumar said.

Meanwhile, parking passes for the event will feature a QR code which, when scanned, will provide AI-generated, personalised video instructions on entry and exit routes.According to police, the videos are customised for each parade enclosure mentioned on the pass. “Animated cars displaying the enclosure name will guide motorists through designated traffic routes, entry and drop-off points, and approved parking areas,” a senior police officer said. This year, a total of 23 enclosures—named after rivers—will be covered under the initiative. 6 animated videos created by Delhi Police will be linked to the QR codes printed on the parking passes.
