Marathi film 'Dashavatar', a massive hit across India and internationally, is now set for a Malayalam release on November 21. Written and directed by Subodh Khanolkar, the film's universal appeal and strong narrative have driven demand from Kerala. Max Marketing will present the Malayalam version, marking a significant step for Marathi cinema's reach.
The film ‘Dashavatar’, which has been running to packed houses for the past several months and has received an overwhelming response worldwide, is now all set to entertain audiences in the Malayalam language as well.‘Dashavatar’ is written and directed by Subodh Khanolkar. The film was released in theatres on September 12, and from its very first day, it began ruling the hearts of Marathi audiences. Not just in Maharashtra, but in cities like Baroda, Indore, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, and even Guwahati, the film has been running to full houses. Crossing the boundaries of language, ‘Dashavatar’ was also appreciated by non-Marathi viewers across India.The film’s success wasn’t limited to the country, it went on to achieve international acclaim, with houseful screenings in the United States, Australia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Norway. Now, as it enters its seventh week, ‘Dashavatar’ continues to draw packed audiences in many theatres.The immense popularity of the film has sparked curiosity among audiences of other languages, leading to strong demand from viewers in Kerala.
Responding to this, the film will soon be released in the Malayalam language. Known for its high standards and artistic excellence, the Malayalam film industry is now ready to welcome ‘Dashavatar’ into its fold.The Malayalam version will be presented by Max Marketing, owned by Varun Gupta. Speaking about the film, Gupta said, “Malayali audiences are drawn to stories, not just stars. When I watched ‘Dashavatar’, I felt that it transcends linguistic boundaries.

”Recently, the Malayalam poster of the film was unveiled, and ‘Dashavatar’ is set to release in Kerala on November 21.This is perhaps the first time that a Marathi film is being released in Malayalam. ‘Dashavatar’ has proved that with a strong story and impactful presentation, Marathi cinema can truly expand its horizons and achieve greater milestones.
