Doctors protest in Chennai

A group of government doctors staged a protest near Rajarathinam stadium on Sunday (June 1, 2025), demanding that the health department review the government order 354 issued during former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s rule.

The protesters said doctors at the Primary Health Centres must be provided an allowance of ₹3,000.  The government must recall its order 4D2 that resulted in reduction of 1,500 faculty posts, the protesters said.
