On Jan 22, Trump led the signing of the Board of Peace, which according to his avatar on Truth Social is “the greatest and most prestigious board ever assembled at any time, at any place”.
BoP is expected to comprise 60 nations, in a tiered complex structure, each member state serving a three-year term. Per White House, an executive board, several of whose members are already in place, will operationalise its vision. Its founding members – Nickolay Mladenov, Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Tony Blair, Marc Rowan, Ajay Banga and Robert Gabriel – are all either US nationals, pro-US or US-based.
No consultative process preceded framing of its charter or composition of its subsidiary bodies.
