Donald Trump Jr, the eldest child and son of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has been in the headlines quite a few times this week. On Sunday, his father shared with the press how he would rather go hunting than mourn at his graveside, shocking many with the comment.

Now, the 47-year-old has surprised the world by announcing his engagement to model and socialite Bettina Anderson. The news was revealed at the Christmas White House reception when Trump shared that his eldest son and his girlfriend are set to be married.

After embracing his father, Trump Jr took the microphone to share with the attendees that he was at a 'loss of words.''I want to thank Bettina for that one word: yes!' he joked. He joked that he was unsure if his now-fiancée would accept his proposal when he got down on one knee.

'When you go down there, it’s like, you’re gonna go, and you’re trying to ask, and you’re not sure what the answer’s gonna be. It’s always a little bit rough. But she said yes, which is a big win for the end of the year.' Then, Anderson took the stage and began by thanking her soon-to-be father-in-law and mother-in-law. 'Wow, what a privilege it is to be here at the White House, Mr President, thank you so much for hosting this incredible party, and to our First Lady, these decorations, am I right, aren't they unbelievable?'She added that it was the 'most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!'

Engagement to Bettina Anderson

Bettina Anderson is a Palm Beach socialite, model and founder and executive director of the wildlife conservation nonprofit Project Paradise.

The 38-year-old was first spotted in the Trump orbit in July 2024 at the Republican National Convention where she was seated behind Donald Trump Jr and his then fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle. In September that year, the Daily Mail reported that Anderson and Trump Jr were seen kissing and eating brunch at Palm Beach. By December, the pair was photographed holding hands on Anderson's 38th birthday. She even posted a story of a bouquet of flowers and a card to her Instagram story and tagged Trump Jr.

Kimberly Guilfoyle who is currently the Ambassador of the United States to Greece, was once engaged and happily in love with Donald Trump Jr. The two apparently met each other at a party in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2020.

However, after Trump Jr. was spotted on multiple outings with Anderson, their engagement fizzled out.

Marrying Vanessa Trump

Vanessa Kay Trump is also a former model and socialite. She was introduced to Donald Trump Jr, by the President himself at a fashion show in 2003. The couple tied the knot in 2005 at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. They have five children together, Kai, Donald John III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. In 2018, they filed for a divorce citing an "uncontested" proceeding. Now, Vanessa is dating golfer Tiger Woods, and her relationship has been approved by Trump himself. As for Trump Jr., it seems he might finally settle down with Anderson.
