DSC-2025 exams: 21,892 candidates appear on Day One

The DSC–2025 examination to recruit teachers to government schools across the State began on Friday (June 6). In a statement, exam convener M.V. Krishna said the tests, conducted in two sessions, were held without disruptions.

The exams held in the morning session were for the posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) Non-Language (NL) – Mathematics (English Medium), TGT – Hindi – Visually Handicapped (VH), TGT – Physical Science – Hearing Handicapped (HH), TGT – Physical Science – VH and TGT (Language) – Telugu – HH. The tests were held at 91 exam centres across the State.

Of the total 16,102 candidates who had applied, 14,281 appeared for the exams, marking an attendance percentage of 88.69%.

In the afternoon session, exams for TGT (NL) – Mathematics (English Medium) and TGT – Mathematics – HH were held at 51 centres. Out of 8,790 registered candidates, 7,611 appeared, registering an attendance of 86.7%. District-wise, the highest attendance in the morning session was recorded in Kadapa district at 91.1%, while in the afternoon session, Nellore district registered the highest attendance at 92%.

The examinations were closely monitored by District Collectors, District Educational Officers and State level Observers. To ensure transparency and efficiency in the conduct of the exams, Command Control Rooms have been set up in all district centres besides a state-level office.
