Indian GM Arjun Erigaisi moved into the semifinal of the E-Sports World Cup 2025, underway in the Saudi Arabian Capital City of Riyadh on Friday, as he got the better of Ian Nepomniachtchi.

The 21-year-old Indian registered a 2.5-1.5 triumph over Russian Nepomniachtchi in the quarterfinal between the two as Erigaisi won both his games with black pieces.

Following his qualification to the final-four of the event, Erigaisi stands to receive a prize money of at least US$125000.
