Officers of the Elite Anti-Narcotic Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) has asked the students and the youth to stay away from drugs and narcotics.
The EAGLE officers, in association with NTR District Commissionerate police, have organised an awareness drive against drugs as part of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ on the theme ‘Breaking the Chains – Prevention, Treatment and Recovery for All’, here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, EAGLE head and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ake Ravi Krishna has asked the students to cooperate with the officers in making Andhra Pradesh a drug-free State.
“EAGLE is planning awareness drives across the State to prevent drug smuggling and consumption. Police and the EAGLE are making efforts to break the chains to check drug peddling,” Mr. Ravi Krishna said.
EAGLE Superintendent of Police K. Nagesh Babu, Deputy Commissioner of Police K.G.V. Saritha and other explained on the consequences, if addicted to ganja and other drugs.
Later, Mr. Ravi Krishna and students released posters against drugs on the occasion.
