Exclusive: JD Majethia on Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame Satish Shah’s demise; says ‘I am in shock, I lost an elder brother’

In an emotional conversation, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai creator JD Majethia expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away due to kidney failure.

Recalling their close bond, Majethia told Times of India TV, “I am in shock, I lost an elder brother. He was like a family. I just spoke with him day before yesterday. We were supposed to go to his place. I can’t believe it.”He revealed that Satish Shah had undergone a kidney transplant three months ago and was recovering well. “He wasn’t keeping well. He had gone through kidney transplant three months back. Everything was looking good.

But suddenly we realised he had caught an infection. Today in the morning, he passed away at his place. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Tomorrow morning he will be brought home and the cremation will happen.

I am out of Mumbai and will be reaching at night,” Majethia shared with a heavy heart.Speaking about Shah’s personality, Majethia described him as a man full of life and wisdom. “He was the life of all discussions.

He was so well read, well aware, good with words. People know him for comedy, but he was so much more than that. You could talk to him about any topic and you would learn so much from him,” he said.He also fondly remembered Shah’s social media presence, adding, “Every day, I would wait for his reels on social media and they would be so entertaining.”Reflecting on their iconic collaboration, Majethia admitted that Sarabhai vs Sarabhai would never be the same again. “I doubt Sarabhai vs Sarabhai can ever happen without him. I can’t think of it right now. I can’t even think of what will happen now.
