Falak Khan, who essays the role of Safiya Baig as the negative lead of the show, has steadily carved a niche for herself with impactful and heartfelt performances. She is currently seen in Sehar Hone Ko Hai, where her portrayal has been winning hearts.
Known for her work in Bandhan Tute na, Saray, Vanrakshak and many more projects, Falak has also been part of the much-talked-about film Champaran Mutton, which received strong media coverage as an Oscar semifinalist. Speaking about her ongoing journey, the actress recently opened up about her enriching experience on set and the special bond she shares with her co-stars Mahi Vijj and Vaquar Shaikh, calling it one of the best phases of her life.Sharing her experience, Falak said, “This has been one of the best phases for me. Working with Mahi ji and Vaquar ji has been really nice. We bonded so well and so quickly that it never felt like we were just co-actors. On set, it genuinely feels like family. Everyone is sweet, but the three of us bonded a lot. Whenever we get free time, we sit together, chat about life, what’s happening around, and of course, food.”She further spoke about how their shared love for food became a constant connection point on set.
“We are all big foodies,” Falak smiled. “We discuss food a lot — what to eat today, what we should bring, what’s for lunch. These little conversations create such a warm atmosphere. When your co-actors are kind, specific, and emotionally present, it automatically creates a very positive environment. We shoot reels, talk, laugh, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
”Expressing gratitude for the encouragement she received from her senior co-actors, Falak added, “Both Mahi ji and Vaquar ji are very experienced and senior actors. When they appreciate your performance, it truly means a lot. They often tell me that my eyes speak so much and that I am aligned with the character I am playing. Mahi ji even told me that at her home, her father, and everyone appreciates my work. Getting such feedback from senior actors is extremely motivating.
It makes you feel valued and supported, and there is a lot of positivity on our set, which clearly reflects on screen.”
